Your environment has a huge impact on your personal wellbeing. When I initially moved into my new home I felt out of place, lonely, and homesick. What I had hoped for was to find a place I could call home. But I am a firm believer that home is not a feeling we simply happen upon but that sense of belonging is built. Investing my energy into cultivating a sense of belonging has helped me to meet new friends, feel content in my space, and feel engaged with the community.
